Wound Care
The Wound Care Program offers a comprehensive approach to
caring for patients with wounds, ostomies, and other skin-related
injuries. Diagnoses covered include: mechanical, chemical, or
thermal injury, peripheral vascular disease, diabetes, compromised
immunity, surgical intervention, pressure ulcers, burns, allergic
reactions, viral infections, and HIV/AIDS.
The Wound Care Program offers treatment for patients with a variety of
acute and chronic wounds. The ostomy service treats patients with new
ostomies, problems with existing stomas or fistulas and drainage/feeding
tubes. Patient education on skin care, appliance selection, diet, activity,
and medications is essential to the success of the program.
Patients receive collaborative care from wound specialists, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and licensed dieticians. Our clinicians are trained on the latest advanced wound care products and therapies. All experts work together to establish an individualized plan of care, helping each patient to regain his or her optimal quality of life. |
